For those that are counting, we are almost a year and seven months removed from the last post. Things have changed somewhat. You should be aware of where I'm at and what I'm doing, and if you are not, you can ask.

I rode my little bike again the other day, and I really enjoyed it. The adventure in the park was not the same as the Georgetown version, but I don't guess I can expect it to be.

Things are good, and things are.

edit:

So Canton happens Sunday. So yeah, some people have to work Saturday morning. It isn't me, but it is one part of the Canton on Saturday adventure. Yup.

Also, some shopping cart things online allow the admins to see what people add to their cart and almost buy. There are many ways that this info can be useful. That got me thinking. I'd love it if there were a plugin for wordpress or some other blogging software so that if people closed a comment window without clicking the submit button...the "draft" is sent to the admin. Personally, I'd like to know what people write but decide to not submit. This goes back to my belief that the really important things to say to people are the things you almost say but back out of because of fear, better judgement, or whatever.

just thought of a site: latenightletters.com

I won't register it simply because I know I probably will not do anything with it. It would simply sit. But yeah. All that.

I don't have any readers, do I?

woot

I bought a wrecked 1998 Explorer about 2 1/2 years ago. I put the motor and rear end in my ranger. Fast forward to tonight. I sold the rear hatch. I had forgotten about having it. Yes, I'll take some free money.

I'm heading to Canton on Saturday to pick up another rear end for Rupert. I should be able to take this one and bolt it right in. I'm hoping I can get 3 more budd wheels and lug nuts too. I need that. Once the rear is swapped, I can buy tires and be done with fixing him up. Then I'll be in the market for a 30-35' flatbed gooseneck. Then I'll be buying tractors...and selling parts.

That is the plan anyway.

almost a comment

boo.

Ever hear a song that you automatically like but then realize that it is in some super trendy movie that just came out...and it suddenly feels all wrong?

I am, of course, talking about The Moldy Peaches and their "Anyone Else but You" that showed up on Juno...it seems. Anyway, Kimya Dawson still scares me and makes me smile. BTW, when TMP does that song here, they remind me of John Prine and Iris Dement doing "In Spite of Ourselves" -- which also appeared in a movie called "Daddy and Them." Crazy. I'm sure you know the song, but if not, listen to it here. He has a good "Sling Blade" joke in that vid too.

So I've rambled and rambled. Sorry, but I do that.

Have a good day.
